The Bookstore is open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, Check the website and our Google Business Profile for updated hours!
What does the Bookstore sell?
We sell used and new books, as well as puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and other media. We get new items every week...come check them out!
Is the Bookstore a non-profit?
Yes! Your bookstore purchases support our mission to expand reading, literacy, and education throughout Hermosa Beach and the South Bay! Donations of books and materials are tax-deductible, and we provide receipts.
How can I donate books?
We're excited you want to donate! Head to the bookstore during our open hours, or at any of the donation hours listed above, and we'll be happy to receive your book donation and provide you with a receipt!
How can I help out?
We are always looking for volunteers! The more volunteers we have, the better an experience we can provide for our patrons. Email volunteer@hbfol.org or head to our Support page to learn more about how you can lend a hand!
What happens to the books I donate?
We pride ourselves in making sure every donated item goes to the best possible use. Many are sold in our bookstore at accessible prices ($0.50 - $1.00) to raise funds for library programs, children's events, and more. Through our "Pages for Progress" program, we deliver thousands of books to schools, nonprofits, teachers, and more in Hermosa - focusing on those who need them most.
